The Hearth: Women’s Therapeutic Circle

A 12-Week In-Person Psychotherapy Group for Women

Within The Hearth, there is a continuum of circle offerings—supportive, restorative, and therapeutic. This page shares more about the women’s in-person therapeutic circle, for those who feel drawn toward deeper, ongoing group psychotherapy within a carefully held container.

This offering is a closed, weekly psychotherapy group that integrates somatic awareness, relational exploration, and parts-based work within the grounded, heart-centered structure of Circle. It is designed for women who are seeking more than support alone and who are open to engaging emotionally, relationally, and embodied in the therapeutic process over time

A Common Starting Place

Many women who find their way here are already doing a lot right. They may be functioning well, engaged in individual therapy, or outwardly capable—yet still sense that something important wants to be explored in relationship.

Often, it’s not about fixing a specific problem. It’s about having a place where patterns, emotions, and ways of relating can be felt, named, and worked with as they naturally arise with others.

What This Group Is

This is a depth-oriented psychotherapy group that unfolds gradually through shared presence, consistency, and relationship.

This is not a drop-in group or a skills-based workshop. The therapeutic process depends on continuity, trust, and participation across the full series.

Rather than focusing on advice or surface-level coping strategies, the group offers space to slow down, listen inwardly, and explore what emerges in the body, in relationship, and in the group field. Insight and change arise through lived experience, reflection, and integration—both within the circle and beyond it.

The Therapeutic Approach

 This group integrates:

  • Relational group psychotherapy
  • Somatic awareness and embodied inquiry
  • Parts-based and depth-oriented approaches
  • A carefully held Circle structure that supports safety and presence

The Circle format offers a consistent relational field where patterns can be seen, felt, and worked with over time—both internally and interpersonally. The intention is not to push for change, but to create conditions where insight, regulation, and relational healing can emerge naturally.

Who This Group Is For

This therapeutic circle may be a good fit if you:

  • Are seeking deeper therapeutic work within relationship, not just support or skill-building
  • Want to explore patterns that emerge in connection with others
  • Are open to working experientially, including attention to the body, emotion, and relational dynamics
  • Value consistency, continuity, and depth over quick insight or short-term relief
  • Are willing to bring curiosity, honesty, and presence into a shared group process

Many women who join this group have experience with individual therapy and sense that something important unfolds more fully in relationship.

Who This Group May Not Be a Fit For

This group may not be the right fit if you:

  • Are looking for a drop-in or short-term group
  • Prefer a primarily educational, skills-based, or advice-focused format
  • Are not able to commit to consistent weekly attendance
  • Are currently in acute crisis and need a higher level of care
  • Feel strongly uncomfortable engaging emotionally in a group setting

If you’re unsure, we’ll explore fit together during the consultation.

What to Expect Over the 12 Weeks

This group unfolds gradually. Early sessions focus on establishing safety, rhythm, and relational trust. As the group deepens, themes, patterns, and emotional material naturally emerge—both individually and within the group field.

Sessions may include:

  • Attunement to present-moment experience
  • Relational exploration as dynamics arise in the room
  • Gentle somatic awareness and tracking
  • Opportunities to speak, listen, and be witnessed
  • Reflection and integration over time

What Women Often Take With Them

While every woman’s experience is unique, many participants find that this kind of depth-oriented group work supports
meaningful shifts that continue to unfold well beyond the group itself.

Women often describe leaving with:

  • A greater sense of emotional regulation and inner steadiness

  • Increased capacity to stay present in relationships, even when things feel tender or complex

  • More clarity about personal patterns, needs, and boundaries

  • A felt experience of being seen and responded to by others, rather than navigating challenges alone

  • Greater trust in their own internal signals and emotional wisdom

  • A deeper sense of belonging and connection that continues beyond the group

Rather than offering quick insight or surface-level relief, this work supports changes that integrate gradually into daily life, relationships, and decision-making.
