Some of the most common mistakes I see Women over 40 make when they finally get time to focus on their healthâŚ
They start a trendy restrictive diet thatâs too low in calories, eliminates entire food groups, leaves them hungry, irritable, and drained of energy. This deprives their body of essential nutrients, sabotages proper fueling for daily activities, and adds even more stressâraising cortisol levels and leading to increased fat storage around the midsectionâall in a desperate attempt to regain control of their body.
They join a gym and dive into intense workouts like HIIT, Orange Theory, or crazy circuits, which confuse the body between anabolic and catabolic states. Instead of burning fat, they end up burning muscle, leaving them more exhausted and discouraged than when they started.
They load up on synthetic supplements, collagen, and green powders without properly evaluating their diet or understanding what their body truly needs for effective fat loss and proper fueling.
They focus only on diet and exercise, neglecting other essential aspects of health like hydration, stress management, and sleep, which are crucial for achieving sustainable results.

You canât pour from an empty cup. When you take care of yourself, everything else in your life flourishes. If youâre over 40, I get it. Iâm 48, and Iâve been where you are. What worked for me in my 20s and 30s no longer works today. Hormonal changes make this a new chapter, and your body needs a new approach.
