Nearly 20 years ago, I trained as a Coach. I was drawn to the profession as I’m a naturally positive person and I just assumed that this enthusiasm (plus my training) would be enough to help people to pursue their goals, dreams and ambitions. I was wrong.
A few years later I was floored by a client: “It’s OK for you, you’re one of those naturally happy people. I’m just not like that” - and that comment took me on the most impactful journey of my life. What was I doing that made me feel more content with life and appear happier than others? I hadn’t really thought about it before, and I wanted to find out what was happening so I could share it with others. Is it in our genes; is it pure luck; or is there a science behind all this happiness? And it turns out that there is - Positive Psychology.
I immersed myself in this, and spent the next few years learning the secrets behind happiness and contentment, and from my work created The Positive Approach: a series of programmes helping people to rediscover their happiness and turn their lives from a “Surviving” state into a “Thriving” state.
Since then, I’ve been fortunate enough to walk alongside hundreds of people just like you as they continue on their journey, cheering them on from the sidelines and encouraging them along the way.
